To have it completely fair at a tourney, in your opinion bullet, would it be better just to cast 1 lead on .35? And which lead should it be?
suppose the 150g is the middle ground and closest to fishing spec.

Right then the 175g and the 200g are cast on the same diameter line 0.35 so theoretically the bigger lead for instance 200g should travel further due to it being easier to tow the .35 line....?? But by looking at the records its the total opposite, the 175g towing the same diameter (0.35) line travels further..

Thats because nobody is big and strong enough to get it to go like the smaller ones!
I understand that JB, but with the 200g being cast on equivalent line that is used for the 175g then should it not require less effort to obtain the same distance, less drag an all..

it will require less effort from the lead to drag the line along (proportionately less resistance! But not less effort from the caster to get it going!) Same as the effect on the smaller leads!

i,ve only got me fishin rods a century kompressor ss and a carbon metal express. the ss might chuck 200g a couple of times before destruction the cc express no way. it nearly had a coronary with a 175 LOL

Also willy, people like myself have not posted on here over the last 4 months since you last told us you'd close the section down on a whim, only reason I posted, (and never accused anyone of bieng anyone by the way!) was to have a discussion about something I feel strongly about, modern casting and it's rules.
You'll see that i've tried to put my opinion across, and educate somebody on the modern casting scene, and got educated a bit more on the old casting scene.
I was not involved in any witchhunt, so take it up with all that were and don't threaten the innocent folks with shutting the section down again.
As I can see everything has calmed down, so what need is there to start inflaming it again?
