Reel seat help

Here we go lol so your telling me when you cast a wr300 you have the rod bent to the reel seat? If so enter competitions you will be in the top five I don't mean over head whacking it if I can't have the rod bent double its to stiff old saying if you can't bend the bow you can't fire the arrow

Ain't got time to enter comps phil

So why say how stiff your conoflex is? Do you not cast when fishing? I fish marks were distance pays off if there is nothing in short if you can't hit distance you can't vary. I never used to think casting was important till I started trying it.

erm yeah I cast ... but I don't wan@ at getting 200+ if I can hit 80 to 120 with bait im happy ... at 5 foot 2 and 11 stone I do ok..

Who mentioned 200yds? Or wan''ing over it simple facts it's handy to be able to cast at certain marks 120 yds is a good cast any way

wasn't that your attraction of the wr300 ?? if not why ? a lot of anglers these days seem like zombies, and that distance = fish. ive seen good fish come in from 20 yards over the years

Sometimes the fish are only a few yards infront so no big cast required, 120 good chuck mate:D:D

And sometimes the fish are at distance then the lad that can use his rod to extreme will catch and other wont.
See this happen lots of times more so on open beaches.

The lad that can reach the fish at distance can also hoy short and catch fish close in.
Spot on big phill.

my attraction to the wr300 was the mk2 almost perfect stiff butt soft tip allows you to bully fish in heavy ground yet with the soft tip help put a soft crab bait out without exploding into bits then when you hit the tide rip the tip bends absorbing the pressure and not pulling your sinker out allowing you to hold bottom in big tide pulls. But the one down fall was the shortness off the rod so in theory finding a 14ft version sounds perfect but the rod is to stiff for me to use it to its potential

sounds like your comparing rods to women and looking for one that will do everything that suits you, it wont happen, you need one for each occasion . I can however, do what your saying and have a days fishing nee bother with any rod , if just for a day . I do know what your saying and youll never find an answer . you will however find a suitable inbetween .
