According to UK hooks its an allround heavy ground match rod

Love my Primo Synchro, beach fishing clean to mixed ground it is the first rod out of the bag for me.

It is a 300 yard rod in the right hands that is also brilliant for learning to cast on; lightweight but bags of power with loads of feel with a fish on and plenty of feedback in the cast. Will cast up to 7oz plus bait easy enough but for me 5oz and a lazy big arc pendulum cast really makes it sing.

Great bite detection as well

what ne anglers call a r ground rod and those from the south are totaly different i would say primo is a good all round rod in tip tornado class down south rough groun is a sandy beach with a bit shingle and weed not st mary or craster type ground
