Ron Thompson axellerator rod advice

Hi
I know this is a oldish rod but I'm looking at buying a Ron Thompson axellarator rod seen some video reviews on you tube and them seem really good has anyone got one of these and what's you views on them?
Looking for a rough to heavy ground rod
Any advice would be much apprieciated
Thanks in advance

they are a good rod for the price nets have them in stock, it was one of the first rods I got when I returned back to sea fishing few years back.
also the leeda ultra power again is a canny rod for the price and will do the job

AS dale says,both good rods.
ive had both aswell.mind the r/t is a bloody stiff rod,7oz leads amust.
ill repeat that the r/t rods are STIFF,WORTH every pennie mind.
thats just my opion,by the way.other members may disagree.

Good advice from Dale and reg I would say the leeda icon is much more user friendly
as the ron Thompson are very stiff and take a bit of bending when casting but perfect for cliff tops and heavy ground were distance isn't important
Both rods are well worth there price tag
hope this helps pal .

The money you save on the R/T it will cost you in roids and gym membership to put a bend in it lol.

Thanks for all the advice lads I fish mainly rock marks and rough ground so I'll take a look at the Leeda rods also
shop around for price m8, I know fishing republic have them on offer a few weeks ago.
I got both my leeda icon rods from veals the match and the power, for the price you cant go wrong.
the only problem is the rings are not the best I got stan parkin to fit kangs on the match after it went over on the walkway nacking 3 rings .
