Only One Days Fishing

Kev you can get blocks of squid at any of the fish mongers on the quay, £1.50 a block, probably worth taking a couple just in case the mackeral are thin on the ground.

Have a great day mate.

Unfortunately from what i have heard our friend Kev did not do very well and only got a couple of small ones (scotch haddocks) i belive and his mate got a few small codling.

Hey all

What a FANTASTIC time we had!

We were very well looked after at Frazers tackle Shop, bought a penn reel and boat stick, and loads of bits \'n pieces. Then, the next day, off to North Shields to meet the Sarah JFK.

I got the boat record - A Pouting the same size as the hook!

My pal got a \"legal\" 2lb codling and a \"Foul Hooked\" 2lb Codling.... but what a fantastic day we had.

The weather, sea, boat, company, Craic (pronounced Crack, ie fun) was absolutely superb. Alan the skipper certainly knows his stuff.

Wercking in the North east is totally different from Wrecking off the South Coast. Your wrecks all seem to sit on mud and therefore once you have passed the werck there are no fish. Also the terminal tackle that is used in the NE is well dfferent, (2 daylights with squid and 12 oz lead)

Off Poole most of the wrecks seem to sit on a sandy bottom. Once you have passed the wreck there is still plenty of fish around to keep you amused. We also use 6 foot traces coming from the swivels. A whole different way of fishing.

We really had a brilliant time, all added to by a bloke on board called Norman. Talks and Drinks for Tynemouth :)

All I can say my friends is... Thank you for all your help in getting us behind a rod. I WILL stay an active member of NESA and look forward to helping anyone who wants to try out fishing on the South Coast.

Kev

Really pleased to hear you had a goodun Kev, just a pity the fish didn\'t turn up. At least next time you are up you will have Alans number and the gear ready. Good fishing and keep in touch mate.

Jim.

Glad u enjoyed it mate even tho u didnt have much sport. The craic is always good on JFK

I\'m out with Alan 2morro but it looks like it\'s gonna be a lumpy one + wind + big tide so not building my hopes too high but whateva the outcome I will enjoy my day. Dont forget to keep in touch

Really pleased you had a good time Kev and we all look forward to seeing you on NESA in the future :D
Send us some catch reports from the South it would be really nice to see how you are getting on ;)

How\'s THAT for a quick turn-around and user satisfaction?.............

Kev posted on 13th that he was coming up to the N.E. on the 15th and was hoping to get a days\' fishing in on the 17th.
Following a mountain of quick replies regarding where to get bait, tackle etc . suggestions of venues and a charter boat, he got his days\' fishing in and posted on the 19th, that he had a \"FANTASTIC\" day.

Glad you had a good trip out, Kev and I would just like to thank all who offered their help and advice at short notice to enable Kev to enjoy his trip to the North East.

I\'m in tears here, but then I am having a nervous breakdown on-line.

I\'m one step away from putting my Caps Lock on

Whistle ping ping wruuulroed[

Nice one Kev on the fish and that, the breakdown is to do with life in general and not your post
