Having read all the posts,including Ell [the baldy one]
I can cast well to be honest although I would love to master the pendulum cast and would like to find someone who can coach me I have a greys apollo hard ground rod with an abu 7500 c3..and for the beach a diawa sensor z ,which is great for the areas I fish ..not too far to cast at night etc....

well chaps and lasses i followed your advice re cheap reels and went for a penn 525 ,had a few chucks today ,not too bad ,i did end up birds nesting on about the 9th cast but there not too bad ,cant get the knack of guiding the line on quite yet but ill get there ,got a bit better with each cast ,seems to be a matter of timing ,my pals gonna come up and set the brakes etc to compensate for my lack of skill and go for a days fishing next weekend sos he can help improve my casting,still fancy one with a level wind though(cos im lazy)

my cousin posted a question in tackle about the Abu Garcia Ambassadeur Ultracast Multiplier, UC 5600C ,wether or not this is rated as a good reel or not,im thinking about one myself,anyone used this reel and marks out of 10 for performance ???
