Me madrob and outcast Chris all fished tynemouth pier for the 1st time got there for 6ish tea time to do a night session
We got right on the end where we had been given some good advice off some regulars
We all fished 2 big rods each with me trying out my new shimano XSB 14000 fixed spool on my kompressor
Baits cart. Blacks. Rag. Makki. Rasor. Muscle and crabsticks lol
1st cast with blacks and fresh lug from Moonfleet which was quality boys resulted in a codling of just over a pound
Then cast out and a nice bite again and seemed a canny fish only to see 2 codling of the same stamp on my 2 hook pulley rig gutted lol
Then next casts codling of 1.4lb which I kept as it was deep hooked and bleeding badly but a cracking session we thought
Chris was into fish to mainly dabs with this the biggest and mankiest looking dab ever
The fish were coming in nearly every chuck but all about a pound in weight then madrob pulled this little beauty in lol which we nick names it cod balls lol
Don't no what it was ??????
Most of our fish came at low tide 8-9 o'clock Chris and rob had a steady run of dabs and I had codling whiting and a fat bellied shore rockling before I pulled in a poor cod and a new species
Chris left at 1 in the morning to be honest wish we left with him but has hopes of a nice cod which never turned up
We had 5 starfish in 1 night couldn't believe it
Fished till 5 in morning shattered but christened the new reel which now is up for swaps multipliers every time now even though reel is quality just hard to get used to
Great 1st night session never lost any gear even pulled in 2 rigs .... Bonus
Blacks and fresh lug seemed to be the best tonight will fish there again when a better sea is running
