Reading alot about the tyne fishing well at the moment.only ever been to walkway but want to try a few diffrent places like hebburn marina n paint factory n any other decent spots.comeing from sunderland n whats best way to these marks.directions if possible.cheers

why not try the mill dam just right of it.nice long jetty there.its about widest part in the river so doesent tend to pull as much as other river shots imo.anyway just head for the customs house @ your there.if you fish on the left side, you can fish from your car.

For hebburn marina Google prince consort road. You can fish the wooden area (boats moored here so watch out for those) or keep going to a little car park on the right. Both have railings to rest your rod. If you keep going again there's a little car park and a blocked off road. Walk down the blocked off road to get to a stone jetty - I would only fish there during the day. Only fished there once but have heard reports of discarded syringes down there :s

Hebburn is an easy shot cod father. Follows James' directions and as you see the marina in front of you the road goes left. Follow the road past the wooden jetty part and a short way along is a parking area on your right. This is known as the 2nd carpark. You can fish out of the boot of your car. Best spot in my opinion as the car is on hand, no boat moorings to worry about, can accommodate maybe 5-6 people easily and decent catches of codling when its right.

Customs house (mill dam) as Reg said is also a good spot to try. The walkway (in front of new houses near to the groyne, mouth of river) had also been doing very well. Had some good bags there of late, nice easy spot to fish. Just tidy any rubbish as the residents will complain.

Best of luck!

The river mostly fishes better on the flood on the smaller tides, having said that some marks can fish well on the last hour of the ebb too

First hour or two of the flood from low water up for the lower marks (ie: shields area) and top end of the flood further up the river. Tends to be when I've had most fish
