Can anyone recomend a decent one, what are the shakey salt like ???

shakey salts or good, bit heavy but its nowt really. Ian Golds are kanny aswell with all the toys attached. Pick up a salt for about £40 new.

if its heavy, does that mean there sturdy, as im a clumsy bloke i need something that will last !!!

I have the salt, not very long but I love it. I thought at the price they are now it was a bargain. Much much better than my old one, but I probly only paid £10 for it about 10 years ago lol it was just like aluminium tubes. The salt is probly heavier than most but I like its design and it's very robust and sturdy and can position it in the most awkward places. It's abit fidgety at first but you'll soon pick it up quick enough to set it up like bish bash bosh, wallah. And that blue is my favourite colour!

its a canny tripod and as others have said bit heavy 2.7kg i think. i dont use it with the bag to carry it as because when i did then i chew about where to put the bag when the wind is strong etc. apart from that its a rather steady tripod

I've got an Ian golds and a mti.
The mti is the mutts, weighs 9lb steady as a rock without adding weight, and fully extended you can walk under it.
The weight dosent bother me.

To be honest the weight thing aint an issue, my only luggage is a ruck sack, rod and reel, the last tripod i had ended up being jumped on, snapped up and kicked into the bin on the way off st mary's ! It was crap, a very light ali one

oh and it wasnt blue !!! Ha

I have a Salty and it's great. easy to use, even in the worst winds. The weight isn't an issue as it slots into a pocket of me quiver.

Oh.. and it's BLUE
