Tommy cooper

There were several people who IMHO could walk on stage and make me laugh without speaking. He was the master. Others included Eric Morcambe ( GOD ), Les Dawson, Billy Conolly and more recently Peter Kay.

Jim.

Tommy Cooper, Morecombe and Wise, Dave Allen, all brilliant funny men. Used to like Connolly but wont watch him now after the Ken Bigley episode. Some topics are taboo and that was one of them. To top it all, he wouldnt apologise for his so-called jokes about the man.

cheers.

Tommy Cooper did\'nt do much for me,must admit I did like Dave Allen, thought he was alot older than he was when he died

George, I was exactly the same with Billy Connolly. I still laugh at him, but every time I see him, I can\'t forgive him for not apologising for what he said. I think he lost a lot of fans through that. To be honest, I think he\'s got too big headed since he went to Hollywood, lost touch with his roots.

Spot on Davy mate. Totally agree with you. What made the episode even harder to swallow is that apparently, a member of the audience that night stood up and said \"Come on Billy, thats a mans life your talking about\" whereby Mr. Connolly replied \"F**K OFF\". Not acceptable under any circumstances in my book and thats why I just cannot watch him now.

cheers.
george

Really liked Spike Milligan, probably his humour is\'nt politically correct these days, suppose like most of 60,70,80 comedians.
