Makes sense to club together for trips away given the price of diesel these days. Used to do it quite a lot when I lived in Portsmouth; trips away to Chesil beach or even up to Aldbrough in Suffolk were a lot cheaper with three of us in the car.

Maybe an idea for a sticky at the top of the page - awaydays and lift shares so people can put down when they are thinking of heading off and ask if anyone wants to come along. I'd be up for north Wales (Lleyn Peninsula / Anglesey), the Holderness and maybe even a weekends smut hunting in Sussex (only about 30 miles further to drive than Etive from here believe it or not) and am happy to do the driving

summer thats a good assumption thats what used to happen years and years ago but now long time gone,
