headed down to the Holdernes at the weekend, any tips on rigs and baits would be a great help?
God Knows i need help lol
God Knows i need help lol

You seem determined to put in the miles this year mate
what kind of fish are you planning on targetting?
Long flowing traces with fish baits?...keep it simple...none of this SRT spring and triple up and over mullarky...mebbes a clipped up rig at most?
Fishing line with a sharp hook on and a weight. You will need to put some bait on the hook.....try some worms (not garden 1's though) some people use crabs and even bits of fish.
Hope this helps![]()
Have a good un lads...be interested to see if Phil finally breaks his duck and catches that rare thing called a fish...BTW what is your new rod Phil:question:
You still thinking of Barmston like Phil?
I'll let you know this week if I can make it, it's just under a 3 hour drive you know?
How did this go?
Did you make it down at the weekend?
...I have a feeling there won't be a rush to post much...got a phonecall off Gregg yesterday morning![]()
not much to post really conditions were crap, fishing was worse lol, but theres only one way to learn new marks and thats to fish them. Could head down to the marks on the river and pull out flatties and stuff or fish the same kelp beds as last summer but you know me i like the adventure and challange. I'll bet my bass and thornies this year even if i've got to have 50 blanking sessions to get them![]()
Good on ya - getting out there and doing it
...Also heard the Tom Tom got you lost on the way there and back![]()
That depends on your definition of lost! ok i didnt follow the route i planned but we got there in the end with a few minor diversions!!:exclam:
