recommend me a rod

I am pondering selling my Penn Ramapage 15 foot 9 as I am not sure i get on with it after years of using stiffer rods. I have gave the continental style a go over the last couple of months and although i like the new style fixed spool I can't decide if i like the really long softer rod.

So if i sell it I will be looking to replace it with another rod.

So what will i be looking for?

I think I like a slightly longer rod - so probably about 14 foot ish.

Not looking for a super stiff tournament rod but something that has a good bit of backbone and could be used in the more kelpy areas of the north east but still with a nice tip for bait detection. Capapble of chucking a 6oz sinker and a good sized bait!

Suitable either for use with a multiplier or fixed spool reel.

Would be suitable for a trip to Norway cod hunting in about 3 weeks time.

Budget wise i won't be looking to spend a fortune and not adverse to a good quality/condition second hand rod.

The answer is probably conoflex nemesis which i sold far too cheap a few years ago lol

From what I've heard I don't think you an go wrong with the leeda icon range either mk1 or the new new m sport range

Both versions of rod will not break the bank either

One that YOU will be happy with and are happy to part with the coin for. A good all rounder imo is the century c3 ld,

Maybe but £385 is quite a lot of coin.

Also according to centuries site its a 3.5 to 6oz rod so maybe a bit light.

I bought a second hand one for 180 immaculate cond. Might of read your post wrong but you said your rod was a bit heavy for you now?? The bb is designed to be used with fixed spool or multi ;-) I had bought one after Simon told me what he used his for, strong rods I have never swung anything heavier than a 6oz so the rod suited me down to the ground ;-);-)
