Only One Days Fishing

Don\'t know what the weathers doing this week but it might be worth ringing round a few boats to see if they\'re going out with spaces. Numbers on the boat section. Had two good days out this week.

I have Just rung the Jfk (out of North Shields) for Wednesday. They have 1 space with a question mark against another.

I have asked that they ring me if 2 available :)

Weather for Wednesday looks to be overcast with the odd shower and 3-5 knot winds. Bloody perfect I\'d say :P

You\'ll have a gr8 day on the JFK Sid, the first mackeral are showing from the boats so make sure you take some daylites.

Thx Guys - lets hope there are 2 slots available. Hmm, can\'t beat a mackarel headed, cleaned and tailed while still in the water, thrown into a pan and cooked for 30 seconds each side. Sod using it as bait.

The many caught afterwards can be bait :0

Just in case I can\'t get a boat for any reason - which pier, jetty or whatever do you feel would be our best chance to get a bit of sport?

Thx Willy

Maybe in the Autumn, a few of you would like to come down and camp on Chesil Beach when we have a nice neap tide. it is stony but you can mould them into a nice bed, and the bass and ray fishing is awesome.

I could sort out the logistics (beer mainly) but if the waether is good - there is no finer place to get smashed (both beer and your tackle) :)

JFK had ling to 22lb on Thursday, if you can not get out with Alan

try Blyth based boat Dans De Laur \"Mike 0191 2371183 and if you like your mackerel straight out of the sea into the pan, Mike likes his herring and mackerel straight out the sea and into the pan.

or Fast Castle III now working out of Blyth for a few weeks Chris 01207 238957

tackle for open ground simple two hook rig with rag, lug mussel baits. If water clear a set of hokkais will not go wrong.
For wrecking for cod s simple jigger with a single muppet above will do. For the ling best bet a four foot trace with a big chunk of mackerel on, mind there are a few but not many being caught so would take some with you. Whoever you get out with they will best advise you the night before what you will be up to.
If you go to Blyth bait can be ordered from Sports and Leisure01670 365980, he is not far from the docks.
