lol good point Daren,, and i bet he didnt go round knocking all the fish he netted over the head with a Priest,, especialy as the word priest comes from the catholic chirch wich wasnt founded till long after his death!!

I did consider making a similar reference to the "priest" in some of my earlier ramblings but was afraid I'd offend someones sensibilities.

Great fun catching a mackeral but dead easy. You can catch them on silver paper as me dad says.

Now when you hook a good cod. Thats a different story. The lurch of the rod or the slackenning of the line. Then the strike and reel in. Monster fish or a little one you put back.
