Friday night Cambois/Lynemouth

After seeing a half decent sea running in at Tynemouth on Friday morning, thought I'd go for a few casts at the back of the houses Cambois tonight, but on arrival was disappointed to find very little swell on. Had a cast anyway, but after 15 mins, pulled in with a crab on each hook and plenty weed on the sinker. Left there and went to the Alcan, first cast on the corner of the beach, nowt but a large clump of weed, so moved 100yds south, put a clipped rig out as far as I could baited with lug, and got a nice pull holding the rod, which resulted in a codling of a pound and a quarter. The same again with the next three casts, all out the same mould, then the next cast, nowt, so called it a night with four fish, all gut hooked, so sadly, pointless trying to return them.
So, was quite pleased, plus, it was a nice mild night.

I was fishing next to you last night, and noticed you were doing well, good move from Cambois, and the corner. Only my second outing since dusting the gear off, and I was pleased to end up with 1 codling 1.5lb, 1 smaller codling, 1 bass 40cm, and 2 flatties. Kept the deep hooked codling. All in all, an enjoyable few hours, the bug is back!!!!

Was that you with the reflective yellow jacket on Tadjer21. Yes, glad I made the move, and welcome to nesa, plenty of good imfo on hear. Might bump into you down there again. Cheers mate.

Garronb90, Yes I think it was me you chatted too. (about the lugworm) Yeh, that sea was flattening all the time, so maybe hit a few next time.

To 'Canman' That was me in the black n yellow flotation suit, you were fishing just to my right. I always liked to fish Lynemouth years ago, so it was nice to get a bit of sport on my return to it. I'm not familiar with many other marks around that area, but going to put a bit of effort in this winter to get myself around. I'll be back up there early next week hopefully!
