hi mate i have flares out of date but still ok to use they wer off my boat as a chartered boat they have tobe up to date even have the cannister there is bout 8 you can have them for £30 the lot, tel peter 07854819924

you'd be happy to send someone to sea with out of date safety equipment??

Marine mega store will sell you a brand new and IN DATE flare pack for 33 quid!

my advice would be to buy a full flare pack this year. then at the start of each season just buy 2 or 3 individual flares. In 3 years of whenever that your full pack expires, you will still have plenty of flares that are in date, and that have come from different manufacturing batches so the chances of failure are even greater reduced.

don't **** about with safety for the sake of 3 quid

Well said Mark ;), keep the out of date ones by all means, but always have in date flares aboard......can't believe someone trying to sell out of date flares on here...

ive a a few out of date ones . but replaced them last year with new ones . i was temped to let a old daytime smoke flair off on bonfire night

i tend to buy 1 or 2 new ones before each season to top up the canister, never crossed my mind to sell on the out of date ones ..............maybe because i wouldn't want anyone to need to use one and it fails..

i do however have a couple of life rings but the're old and have some holes in em....£50 for the 2 ?;)
