prices vary depending on vessels,whether they are 8knot plodders or faster boats

best to decide what ports are on your radar,there are boats in every port from eyemouth to whitby

once you have picked your port,ring the skippers out of that port,find out what they offer and if its for you

the two boats out of the tyne are quite fast the mistress and sarah jfk,
both the famous cats out of hartlepool will shift too,but theres plenty to chose from.

what would you consider a fair price for 8 hours afloat:question:

reason i ask is because a day afloat on a charter boat compares with;

night on the drink

days golfing

days horse riding

day at races

football match

Well wen av bean asking it 6 hours fishing for 40 for 6 hour fish wood not pay no moe than 25-30

i generally budget £50 for a charter day as i pay people the petrol for giving me a lift...few shads and bait...generally round up to about £50 hope that helps. (some people gasp when i mention that figure..but i rarely drink..i dont smoke...and i only go out 3-4 times a year).

but this years been fishless as i have been out of work..hoping the new year brings me some more cash.

I agree with Lingking, i mean what do you spend on a ticket to the cinema for 2hrs £8, night on the town £70, pint and bar meal £15....a full day out for £35-$40 is a cracking price really.

I try and not let money get in the way of my only hobbie....fishing.


Not sure on prices as been 5 years since i been on a local charter (would go back on them in a heart beat if i was unable to keep my boat) but i think £20 for an evening trip and £35-£40 for Amble to Pool thou Whitby i think is abit more, thou maybe wrong.

Best thing to do is try a few and see what one you like best

don't take it the wrong way it wasnt meant, i agree 40 quid for 6 hours is steep tho..but generally you will be looking at £20 for 4 hours (summer)..and £30-35 for 8 hours.
