Has anyone got any experiance with electric boat reels with regards to what one is is the best around the TLD 15-20 size range.??

I know its not as sporting but my mam had a car crash 6 weeks ago and has lost use of some functions and it would be a way for her to still enjoy fishing with out having to give up the sport.

I knwo they are expensive but willing to pay upt £500 for one to keep the sport alive

Paul Dallos used to use one on his charter boat out of Bridlington, I have seen him haul up 4x cod all over 10lb at a time and he used to just hold the brush shaft rod and press the button, It was comical as he was a right character. it was a Ryobi, I think it was the one with a 30kg reeling power, plenty on the big auction site

You can get them pretty cheap from the Japan market sure I have seen them for 2-300 notes do you tie it in to your engine battery or electrics m8 or does it have to be a separate car battery not connected in any way to the boat? ?

Not sure how you use them, never expected to ever want one but its hard to wind in and hold the rod at the same time with only one working arm so thought it worth a look into.

speak to charlie hunter ocean tackle store lerwick 01595694848.

certainly something i would consider if thats what it took to keep me fishing:exclam:
