Just been to Tynemouth beach for a look. It's not too bad to call off ( i wouldnt be going tonight though!) and there are no huge breakers so it's a look again at 5:45 to see for sure, fingers crossed!

its ok Colin, i have just changed the units to decimal on my gps software and it lines up with 55 55 for beadnell and 55 11 for blyth.

Always use decimal Mickey, hope to see you up there! we'll all be getting a suntan. Hoping to take the little boat out inshore with the size of tide, might even have a try for a flat.
