Well another strange one. Popped along pier today to find it chokka block of people fishing for sea trout lol.

Despite the poor weather it was busy. Again went with one baited rod and one set of daylights tipped with bluey. The trout seem to be going for a gentle bouncing baited daylight.

First cast pulled in this. Anyone confirm what it is

Now I am not sure if this is a sea trout as it is different to the last one i caught as the fins are yellow. Maybe this is a female ... if anyone know let me know please.

Caught 7 flatties also all returned.

Seen quite a few lads on the North Pier (Warkworth) they didnt seem to be pulling much in.

lol love the random guesses, it has the small adipose fin so its definately a member of the trout family, and il be inlcined to say its a salmon parr because iv caught loads of them in kielder that look exactly the same as that plus the tail looks forked

Done a bit of research on it. Apparantly its a Yellow-fin Trout which is normally found in the scottish regions.

Northumberland aint that far from the Borders so I think thats what it was.

Tried searching for chench on google, yahoo and bing, and wikipedia but couldnt find anything.
