Amble Pier Strange Goings On Part 2

Had a few hours yesterday using bluey for bait on a 3 hook flapper on one rod and some very small day lights tipped with bluey.

I intended to bait fish with one and spin with the other but got bored of the spinner this is why i tipped it so i could leave it in the water.

Caught 10 flatties, 1 coalie and then this little beauty... I thought it was a makkie to start with but was over the moon when I brought it in.

I do believe its a sea trout. It does look bloody but it did swim away when it was returned. Caught half way down amble pier

All returned safe and sound.

Well done m8 and its definately a sea trout and a little beauty at that and i too would have been over the moon to have pulled one of those in just for my species m8 and its a lovely pic of it too and you seem to have had a canny session as well so good luck to you.

cracking session lovely weather and quality catches well done

Had another crack in same spot today for 3 hours. Caught 30 flatties from the size of a 50p piece up to around 35cm. All returned. Lots of birds diving and sand eels clearly visible now so the makkies wont be too long.
