Hi all
appreciate all the help so far but one more question

does anyone have any idea what size neoprene cover id need for a penn 525 usa model and a slosh 30 please

Or can anyone recommend two decent cases or covers for my reel

cheers

Hi your best off taking your reels into sports and leisure or Mcdermotts both those will be able to sort you out with what you want only a few quid each.

i use bar towels..

fold one in half and sew up 2 edges to leave one end open.

they cost nothing if you ask for old ones in the pub.

they fit all sizes of reels, put your reel in and wrap up in any excess. they will absorbe any moisture then just chuck in the washer after a couple of sessions.

you can even use it as a hand towel if you forget to take one.

Cheers lads
not a bad idea with the towels might try that with some of my old golf towels cheers :-)

Not sure if it just an off day but last time I went in to look at buying a rod he really wasn't interested put me off a bit
Not sure where else to try found a few on the Internet but not sure on the size

cheers

I had a look at some neoprene cases but they dont cover the handles, so they can still get scratched. Take a look at the NGT padded reel cases on ebay. Pretty good quality and good prices too. You might get 3 for a tenner if youre lucky.

I use those Imax ones - two sizes in the shops, you'll want the larger for your Slosh & the 525 will fit in the smaller one.

Gary :)

Go to Wilko's they sell padded insulated sandwich packs for about £7.00, perfect fit for a 525 or slosh 30's. I use them for my reels.
