hey guys just bought a abu ct mag elite (green one) of ebay.It has no brake blocks in it and was just wondering out of these twp which ones are the right ones to get or doe it not matter much? heres the first ones for a c3 mag elite
ABU 6500 22565 MAG ELITE BRAKE BLOCKS, Ambassadeur Multiplier reels | eBay

And here's the other which seems to be for all types of abu's:
New ABU Ambassadeur small brake blocks Part number 1844 | eBay

Don't really see a big difference between them any help is appreciated.

I used green Mag Elites for yonks before switching to 7HT Mags. None of them ever had fibre brake blocks in them. The reel doesn't need them; stick the mags on full and a drop of oil in the bearings and it will be as docile as you like.

The spool still has the struts for the fibre blocks but that doesn't mean you have to fit them (and the reels were never shipped with them). Just fill it up with line and go fishing with it, the reel will be fine.

I alos think its the C3 CT not just the CT model if that has anything to do with it. I found the take apart insturtions on the web for the green c3 ct and it has brake blocks fitted. I'm a little confused as to what it is now.

The reel in the pictures is a 6500 CT Mag Elite. Honestly, I've used them and you don't need brake blocks as the mag braking is more than enough to control the reel. If anything with the mags on full it will be way too slow.

They are a lovely fishing reel, forget about the brake block and get out fishing with it, you will be fine

correct, you can use/fit blocks as reel has brake drum for the blocks to brake against.
Fit one small block then adjust mags to suit.
If you use reel in low down pos its easy to knock off the mag slider with the left hand as you start the cast so a little block will help.

Okay cheers guys which ones are the right blocks to get from the two that i stated above Razors? i'll try it without them but in least if I know which ones to get then I can order some if needed.

Russ (Blakdog) knows his stuff. If you do decide you want blocks then give him a shout and he'll see you right, but I seriously doubt you will need them

small fibre block is all you need and it wont reduce casting distance but will control the reel a lot better, bit belt n braces job with block and magnets.

Contact blakdog tackle 01255436348 great fella to deal with and will get you the correct item.
good luck.

I've got a couple of the mag elites and I've never had any blocks in them, I only have the magnets on full if am fishn in strong winds, if you do put blocks in it will reduce the casting distance as the blocks will only slow down the spool even more, as mentioned earlier a drop of oil in the bearing will suit you just fine
