a few cod near the can

After spending the week at flamborough and not managing to get out due to the bad weather
managed to get a few hours out at the boat house whitley bay
Met up with davey ,barry and brian ,
headed out into a decent swell of 4 to 5 foot
decided as the summer is just around the corner, i would just be drifting the reefs looking for the cod
setting up with 6/0 hokeyes baited with lug , didnt get a touch for the first hour so paddled further out towards the yellow can and dropped back down and straight into a size cod which was released to catch later on in the year when its nice and fat

ended up with 4 cod ,2 kept for tea , herees a few photos of the day
