Sent the pigeons out yesterday with an auspicious forcast , Jeff and James making a guest appearance turned out for a 07.30 launch into a calm sea with light wind , breaking dawn .
James and I anchored up close in with a good ebb tide running , Jeff elected to try drifting with baited hokies which did the bis last time off here.
Bit quiet however picked up a few fish between us at anchor with a 5lb cod best fish and James loosing a good Pollock next to yak , Jeff struggled to catch on the drift.

Great to get out in good company and catch a few after a lean period of late , tankwell of prime cod to keep the wolf from the door and fill the bairns bellys
