Myself , Codfather 145 , mad rob , young Lewis and Anth constable fished our comp £2 per man
Started off at the walkway , we had a visitor not 5 yards out a young seal so not expecting much . Codfather got off to a canny start 1st cast producing a small tommy of 25 cm
Then the wind picked up it was a nightmare , I got a tiny coalie for the species hunt and mad rob lost 3 sets of rigs then Lewis,s lid blew off his box and flew into the drink .met Andy copeland think he had the best idea and head off home
Off we headed to the ratty we headed but I decided to hit Roker pier on my own , I caught a scorpion fish
Then I got a 24cm codling
Seen a pod of dolphins or porpoises swimming by
The lads headed for hendon and I stopped at pier . My turn again a codling of 29cm
Taking me into the leed, Codfather got a scorpion fish and Lewis a small codling , then I got a nice 32cm whiting to end the comp with
Tried hermit crab for the 1st time mixed with yellows and had a cracking pull down and slack liner but missed it couldn't believe it
Baits used blacks , bluey , makki , muscle , clams and hermit crabs plus about 25 yellow tails donated off cosmic cat cheers mate the winning fish was caught on these

Forgot to mention there was a thornback ray caught off Roker pier up near the end about 2 lb in weight
