Here are the dates for our open summer matches this year - all anglers welcome Looking outside, it's hard to believe they're only a couple of months or so away

Sun 2 June @ Beadnell - Fishing 2.30pm-7.30pm

Sun 16 June @ Howick - Fishing 12pm-5pm

Sun 14 July @ Newton - Fishing 11am-4pm

Sun 28 July @ Beadnell - Fishing 11am-4pm

Sun 25 Aug @ Newton - Fishing 10am-3pm

Sun 8 Sept @ Howick - Fishing 9am-2pm



Meet 1 hour prior to start of match; Beadnell, meet Patterson's Garage. Newton, meet car park, Lower Newton. Howick, meet Doctor's House.

Entry £10 per match, 100% payout on the day 1st & 2nd Heaviest Bag & Heaviest Fish.

Boundaries:
Beadnell matches: Seahouses south pier (excl) to Beadnell Harbour
Newton matches: Snook Point to Dunstanborough Castle
Howick matches: Dunstanborough Castle to Howick Burn Mouth
Weigh-in closes 30 mins after end of match.

There will be a special prize for the Angler with the heaviest aggregate weight & heaviest fish over the six matches.

Hope so Peter - I talked with a few lads about it and it seemed a popular idea, so we'll give it a go. I'm looking forward to it after this (ongoing!) rather dismal winter...just so long as the crab come on before august

First match coming up this sunday...

Just to answer a few questions; these matches are for round fish only - no flatfish or mackerel - and the minimum size for all species is 35cm. Bait only, no artificial lures.

In the event of a big sea making the Beadnell or Howick matches pretty much un-fishable, then the boundaries shall be opened up to include the Newton boundaries - in this case a decision will be made before registration & all anglers informed.

Please meet up 60 mins before the start of the match, as 30 mins before the start we close the registration to get to our marks. If you're running late, please call Mick or myself (numbers are in the first post) to let us know so we can put your name down & you can pay at the end.
