Whitley Bay 20/01/12

Fished the half moon skeers at whitley bay this evening over low water. Couple of flatties and a missed cod bite. Lads next to me caught a codling about a pound. When the rocks started to cover I moved onto beach. Caught a nice codling on lug tipped off with bluey strip and squid. Plenty of coalies were being caught but didn't see anymore cod as the sea flattened off. Left about 11ish. Quite a mild night and a few nice fish so can't complain. Did anyone else catch further up the beach?

i was the lonely light in middle of beach plenty small knocks but no fish with me baits being the size of tennis balls moved further up to big bay 1 slack liner right on bottom water but still nothing couple more chucks nowt went for couple pints
