11 of us had a charter on Achates in November uptiding just off shore near the North cardinal buoy. Caught almost nothing. Half way through the day he moved the boat - about 20 yards, after which we caught absolutely nothing, nix. This despite him telling us on the phone \"It\'s been fishing its b*ll*cks off\".

I\'ve my own views on how honest some charter skippers can be - ask yourself, are they likely to tell you the fishing\'s rubbish and risk a no-show by a crew?

i think this is russ (achates ) first winter uptiding. have been out with him in the summer. A slow boat but seats all down one side and he has always put us onto the fish.

kenny , i live in crofton just outside wakefield . i said in an earlier post that our club had folded . we had six trips booked on the jfk , i rang alan skinner(skipper of sarah jfk ) to tell him and he asked if i was still prepared to go fishing with a couple of mates and he would make the numbers up on those trips with lads from the tyne area . so we still get to go fishing hooray !!! if you want to e mail me with your phone number i will keep u in mind for these trips , as he asked for 3 of us to go and there might only be 2 can make it !
