Me. Mad rob and young Cameron ninja cod catcher lol headed to Moonfleet for our worms and with a bit advice off jimmy and Stan Parkin we headed to druridge bay for hopefully bass. Turbots or flounders for our species hunts
Got there about 10.15 low tide at 11 so would be fishing it up we all had flapper rigs with size 1 hooks baited up with fresh rag within a couple of hours rob had pulled 6 flounders out and we had nothing lol
Had a nice talk with a lad off here Sammy Smith lovely fella and nice to meet you mate
It was a cracking day weather wise

Then Cameron gets a small flounder and a new species for him this year welldone mate
About an hour into the flood it was fish a chuck with quite a few double shots from all of us. The rob pulls in a small turbut followed by a nice sized turbot

I thought it wasn't going to be my day I had 2 seperate dogs come over and pinch bait and then a Labrador come over and cocked it's leg all over my fishing box ( cheers. )
I think that changed my luck changed baits to small makki strips and no worm and in came my small turbot for the species hunt

I got a lovely flounder of 36 which I thought would be the biggest of the day but near the end Cameron pulled 1 in of 37 cms and put a lovely bend in the small rod

Great stuff mate, wish I'd went up that way today, JV had a good sized Turbot as well. Marsden was quiet, a few flounders, bullheads and coalies and that was it. The tide must have ripped up that shallow beach, it stormed in at Marsden.

Great way to spend the day mick a cracking flounder for the young'un and a turbot for you and rob with a load of flounder well done lads.

Enjoyed reading that report. Just shows that there's more to having a great day than chasing cod. Well done on the fish and the new species.

It drives u mad but its hard to blame the dog. Must be like a magnet having a box to pee up against on the beach. Happens to me loads.
Well done on the species.
Mick.

Great session lads, and we'll done the young'n. When I'm fishing the beach, I hang my box on the rod rest, bit of a pain but, once one dog pees on it, you know the rest:)

well done lads looks a cracking session there for you and young Cameron looks to becoming one top angler well done young fella great pics also
