norman:exclam: i think you need to call in your crew for assistance:)tell them to bring hooks muppets etc with them,:)and not to expect to be goin home for a few days:)you might need to feed and water them, but methinks it would be money well spent:D:D

You are bored aren't you Norman :D I know the signs;)

Where do you get rod rings from and how do you know what size to get? , I need to do some repairs on some of my rods , are all boat rods as bad , or is it just the abuse they get being in a hard environment all the time ?

Ha! Ha! Norman, done the first three:) plus new rod, but, my god, it all seems quite daunting:eek: i'm tired just thinking about it, is it all so necessary, ...........course it is. Oh! You forgot spare batteries for camcorder. Best wait to see what santa brings first:):)

Hi Norman, I'm happy to help with some of that - at least the eating the crisps part which I've practiced for years. I have child labour who is still keen to help with the rig tying. :)

You may have seen that Garmin produce software called Homeport which runs on a PC allowing you to type in coordinates and details that can be easily transferred to the plotter via an SD card. It simplifies the process of adding coords and means you can do it at home with a keyboard. Much easier. If you can copy your existing marks from your current plotter you could probably import them into homeport or other software and upload them into the new plotter.

well it seems 2 members of the Shady crew have new toys for the new season :D

would have increased my bid but given current circumstance was prob' best I didn't :red:

with shore fishing being so dire at the moment I really can't wait for spring :)

I'm sure there will be one or two on the go soon Tony, seen them go for nearly £100 at times, must be the time of year making them go so cheaply.

Bert's got his eye on a brand new 5 from America.

Next purchase will be ceramic bearings sick of replacing steel ones.

spent the afternoon NOT buying anything on the internet/eBay etc

IE NOT buying things I want as opposed to buying things I need

which having now thought about it there's quite a few bits and bobs I need for the new season (not shads tho' :D)

Hokkais, daylites etc etc - the shop bought rigs that are a handy fall back when other tactics aren't working...bought 100s a couple of years ago and am now down to the dregs

swivels, nickel o shaughnessy hooks

Crikey - not long to go really...best get a shift on :o:D

Get the lead sooner rather than later it is going up in price by the week, i got 11 stone but cant ,melt it until the weather warms up...outside job for me.
