technical problems

Not really a fishing problem but its bugging the sh't out of me,as i am typing this i have about 5 adverts which have popped up on my computer,i have downloaded free avg antivirus,firewall etc and scanned the computer which has sorted a few problems but still getting the damn pop ups/adverts,has anybody else had this problem or know how to sort,appreciate any help

Turn on your pop up blocker. It's in the 'Tools' section at the top of the page.

Hi type malwarebytes into google its a free download a bit like avg its really good its sorted my pc out a few times.

If malwarebyte dont work then try SAS, SuperAntiSpyware, which pop up's are they? have a look in the system processes and look for anything fishy, if your unsure just put the name in google like VM301Snap.exe and it will tell you whats what. i bought a program called security shield 2008 for like £30 and cant fault it if theres any program opening that i didnt open it quarentines it and gets looked over by 24hr services and gets updates loads of other antivirus programs

Malwarebytes is a malware wiper, free AV progs like AVG don't touch malware

problem sorted methinks,downloaded malware thingy which it said was free,scanned my pc and it tells me i have 733 faults but then asks for 40 quid to clear them,anyway i did find another malware thingy which was free and it took 26 adware thingys off me pc.

addaware and spybot are good at removing **** you dont need that you pick up from the net. they are free as well.

i used to get a load from DCads that used to sneek past my firewall. bugged the **** out of me! lol

NP mate, get these links sent to 2 people a day who "have problems" with there computer, but these programs are good but remember a good offence is a good defence, get a good firewall...... microsoft firewall is .......... like a footy net, stops footballs but nowt else lol
