Fished the prom at the very north end of Whitley beach tonight with Keith. Just getting out of the car when along comes Big Ray, Ali and family, nice to see you again.

Walked down onto the mark, baited up and cast out and along comes Nigels nice to have some crack with you mate too, hope you got something after we left.

First chuck got a couple of canny knocks and pulled in a pair of cracking flattie's which weighed in at just under 2 3/4 lb between them when I got them home.

Keith got another decent one a short while later and then caught a small Tommy and a couple of Rockling.

Plenty of bites all night but no Codling still. Never mind a good night with some great crack.

Jim.

Great craic Jim Cheers! nice to meet Ali, Ray & kids & Nigel as well.

I'm chuffed with the new rod, can't blame the rod for my crap casting now, time to turn my attention to the reel cos surely it can't be me
