Fished the ground off the High Drum, (Hendon) at anchor on the Ebb tide this afternoon, (12:00hrs till 16:00hrs).

Using usual winter bait traces and boat casting we ended up with the following between three of us-:

1. Codling x 18 to 4lbs

2. Whiting x 2 to 1.5lbs

3. Coalie x 1 to 2lb

Not a bad day. Nice and warm until the clouds came. Got to see a lone Dolphin swim close by. The sea had a lazy North Easterley swell. The fish came in bursts and were alll in very good condition. There were three or four boats fishing the same area.

Cheers,
Jeff.

Yes....it was good to be afloat gentlemen.

Norman...what do you mean start of the season...? It's the end of my favouirite boat season and it was completely spoiled by bad weather or the skipper spending to much time earning money in Saudi....!!!

Jeff.
