Bloody typical.....

First of the club (Amble SAC) comps on wednesday, and all I managed was an inelligible blenny !!

Went back to the same spot this morning, 2 hours up, 2 hours down, and guess what ?

A plaice of about 1lb, and a flounder of about 2lb, both returned for me to catch next Friday in the next comp.

Both taken on rag tipped with macky.

Wednesday was won by Ian Harrogate with 2 flounder (I forget the exact weight).
Heaviest fish went to Jimmy French with a flounder of 1lb1/2 oz.
The only other legal fish was a flounder of about 8oz, caught by Jason French.

You should have weighed it Tony, apparently there are alot of mini species records out there for the taking some of them will be easily broken. aswell if it was big you could have been a record breaker!!!

Peter.

I was just in front of the old gardens, just before the point down from the bridge, chucking just over the main channel.

Leave the big bugger for me, mind !
