Subject: Dolly catch report

Four of us out on Dolly today and the first 3hrs could not be better for weather and drifts but that soon changed and went back to the north east weather...winds and rain.
Anyway we ended up with about 20 cod and 10 ling, lots of mackerel,whiting and a gurnard.
My catch report is...5 ling best being a 15lb rod bender, lucky i got it up, as the drag was set abit light and it must have got about 10 yards of line before i strated making on it. Also got 4 cod from 3-5lb, 4 whiting, 27 mackerel and a gurnard.
Not heading back that way tomora going wreck finding for the comp, it may pay off or it may have use chasing wrecks that are not there all day...who knows who cares, at least its a day out at sea

I wont Norman but i got a feeling i might catch a 15lber tomora in the first min of the comp so it will look like it has been there all night .
Nar its already bagged and tagged for a mates tea. When we gutted the ling it had a mackerel in its gut....now thats nothing special but when the mackerel had been already chopped up for bait and all that was left was the head,tail and back bone, it must have picked it up after someone slung it in the day before after taking the two sides of flesh from it lol., Also had a a colie with a trace in it's gut from the shore lol
