Started at Cambois this morning but got nowt so moved to Lynemouth ,first cast I pulled in a nice four pounder which got off as soon as it hit the beach ,but my mate managed to man handle it so it's now filleted and ready for tomorrow. Stayed for a few hours with a couple of bites which probably would have been whiting as I missed them but put it down to the 4/0 pennels and huge baits...hey you got to target the bigguns,

Cheers John ,seems to be getting harder and harder to get to them these days ,if they're there at all .It's a calculated risk do you go for big baits and target the big fish whilst risking a blank or fish smaller and bag up on whiting with the chance of the odd cod.
