posted on 12/4/2005 at 23:074 of had a few hours chuck on Blyth beach this evening,, the usuall sort of competition that we play between us,, A pint for the first fish caught, a pint for the most fish caught & a pint for the biggest/ heaviest...Gazz weighed in with the first, on his first cast ( the barsteward) a lovely flounder in perfect nick to about 1lb then coza took the lead with 3 small flatties (they all count) Gazz pulled it back a bit with a very nice Bass just undersize, then as the tide dropped & it got a little darker the coalies + a few whiting showed their faces the night ended up Coza 9 fish all returned,,,, Gazz 8 fish, pipped on the last cast by Coza, me 2fish (well peed off with that result) and poor old Stew came last with one rockling,,,, most fish caught on rag,using small ish hooks saw a big sea trout/salmon dive out of the water,, no chance of catching that one
so 20 odd fish caught 6/7 pints sunk a canny night had by all esp Gazz (Greenhorn) he.s only been fishing a month or so & has a Bass to his name the lucky git,,, Ceers lads ,will see you In the Kittiwake for the match on Thurs night hope we get a better result than I did tonight,,, Cheers Tich
