Not a bad night up st abbs 4 cod biggest 6lb .2 conger 1 been my pb at 7lb .2 .loads of rocklings kept to cod for the table

Well done Scotty. It reopens the debate as to how many conger there are knocking about and how big they go. The divers reckon there's lots but unless you fish for them you'll only get the odd one by accident. Get the headtorches powered up and the macky out of the freezer before it gets too cold.
 
In all my days I've never heard of scallops being used as a hook bait, just in pots.

Just proves that we're always learning.
good bait over sw Scotland or in deep water . I use it a lot with clams n razer if the seas big/ruff I had a few double cod on scallops [ not cheap] but you can buy tubs of scallop frills about £2 or £3
 
A good sesh their m8t you must have been kept busy,scallops, new one on me but,(still learning).(tight lines).

cheers mate tbh I wasn't fishing for then lol but Ill try for then next time up my mate does a lot of diving around st abbs / Eyemouth he recons there sum real big conger might aswell give it a try
