ss pier crabstick tourney results lol

had another mini tourney at shieds pier today from 11 til 4
6 of us in me, mad rob, codfather145, fishingmark, young grant and his pal
basically bites and fish all day
i went into the leed with a 32cm codling
then grant 5 mins later pulled in the winning fish a 38cm coalie
12 quid richer again champion 2 out of 2 tournies, welldone m8

between us we must have had 30 odd fish cod,coalie,scorpions,flounder,dab ,plaice ,eater crabs ,starfish


met waco off the site lovely bloke and he caught a lovely bass later on
took my new zuki rod down for a christening and had some great fun with it cod ,coalies and scorpions


the bite detection is mint boys the bites looked like monster cod bites quality fights as i reeled in 3oz fishes
we headed to roker pier to finish the session me,mad rob,codfather145 and fishingmark
i got a new species ,,,,, dab

codfather145 got new species ,,,,3 bearded rockling we think ????
codfather got a monster spider crab looked like something off deadliest catch lol


great banter and great weather and a great bunch of lads

Well done lads. The Spidercrab haven't even turned up on the south coast yet, that one Codfather caught must have been very very lost. Not that I'm complaining mind, Spidercrab usually mean one thing - the Smoothhound are not far behind (we all wish lol)

Was a great again well done to grant again his dad really tought him well .
I must admit that was the biggest spider crab I have ever seen up here never mined caught. Don't no we're the next comp will be but I do hope more turn out when they say they will.

i often buy spider crab legs from the fish market when thay got them and the taste great nice swwet meat just a pain in the arse getting the meat out the legs n claws
