Very tight at the top again, it came down to a last match battle between Phil & Iain, with Iain just failing to nab the overall by less than a size fish.
Nearly all codlings weighed in this winter - very few whitings (only 8) and even fewer poddlers (only 3) were brought to the scales.

Phil Smithson, overall winner also had the heaviest fish this winter, 7lb 12.5oz from the Sumps.

Heaviest bag of the winter was Malcolm's 4 fish for 14lb 15.5oz from Colleywell, seen here with Gregg.

Just pipped for heaviest bag was Michael Thompson, with his early season bag of 9 fish for 13lb 0.5oz from Newbiggin.

Malcolm, Steve Alexander & Phil with a few of the better fish caught this winter when most catches were made up of smaller codlings.

Well done to everybody, roll on September but there's still a few summer matches (to be organised at the next meeting on the 19th March) :)

Cheers, Gary :)
