Nowt wrong with that Tony, sounds very tasty, that's the best about cooking it in the oven, you can add whatever you like and leave out what you don't like or fancy at the time.

The only reason I made the joke was, I once cracked it in Turkey to a group of lady's in our hotel and one of them said something like "I didn't think it was that easy" and she could'nt understand at first why all of her friends were spitting their drinks out and laughing :D :D

Incidentally, the fish over there is nice but they don't do a great deal with it. Just baked in the oven with some nice mixed salad, the salad varies from restaurant to restaurant but the best one I had was a tiny place miles from anywhere. A Turkish friend took us a few years ago and it was excellent, four of us, meal, and a couple of drinks, finished off with Turkish tea and it came to about 40 Turkish Lira, at the time a little under £16:00 :o :o

Don't like deep frying stuff in my kitchen coz it sticks the whole flat out :D

Haven't done fishcakes for quite a while but have the fish pie pretty much nailed

...as you can poss tell by my slender frame I'm partial to good grub :D

I'm the opposite Keith, I've never been too keen on batter and neither has SWMBO, that's why I keep trying different recipes in the oven. One of the nicest I ever made was Monkfish with Crab sauce :p :p :p that was soooooo good lol, I will have to see if I can find that recipe again. There isn't much in the way of seafood that I don't like so the world's my Oyster :red: :red: :red:

Tony it does'nt matter where you deep fry mate, the smell takes some getting shot of straight away. I have'nt made fishcakes for a while either, will try some next week I think. As for the slender frame   I doubt I will ever get back to having one of them lol.
