Slinky Kate last few weeks...

It’s been a mixed bag for the last few weeks and I can confirm that Slinky Kate has actually been out for 3 weekends in a row…however life being busy like it is for both Skipper and Crew it has meant that for once Team Slinky have been a bit tardy in writing a report :D

Anywho the latest adventure was yesterday and in spite of the glorious forecast we were not feeling particularly confident that the wrecks are yet worthy of a concerted attack…

…so it was that I took a long lunch on Friday afternoon and made sure we went armed with fresh worm baits, bluey, stinky squid and much more!

Rough ground called us again but this time it was further north…so off to Newbiggin we went :)

Owing to an electrical issue, Normans faithful old plotter lost ALL of its marks! :o

Luckily he has a new one that had all the spots…but we still had to go old skool and actually find the features that may hold fish

Luckily we did find such a spot or two and thus it was that we spent a glorious morning basking in late spring sunshine picking up the odd cod for the box among the myriad of school size codlings – it was fantastic!

Roll on the wrecking and the mackerel but a morning like that is just as good for the soul;)

Cheers Norman as ever :D

Few pics from the last few weeks (the latest pics are the sunny ones :D)

A productive report Tony and nice sharp photos too. Still a rather slow start to the season, why are the fish not showing up in numbers by now!.
Was looking to get out myself this weekend, but couldn't launch on Saturday as the lock was changed on the gate, and I hadn't paid launch fees yet, sorted now, so launched Sunday morning, but an electable problem scuppered that when everything went dead. Oh, the joys of boating ;) now the weather is crap for a while...?....

Great to see the slinky reports starting to show up, just need the fish to do the same. Great photos crisp as:thumbup:

That’s more like it, it wouldn’t be spring without some SK reports amd fishy photo's.

PM me if you want a GPS file with wreck outlines and rough ground features for your new plotter.

Arthur, I hope your electrical problems were easily sorted and you're ready to go when the weather allows. We spent the weekend antifouling.

Sorted Kev1n, tracked it down to the 12v isolation switch.
