3rd alan oniel north east region 98cms
a good day was had by all who fished the weather stayed fine and we had some geordie sun, local said the fishing had been poor but we yorks lads saw some interesting species we dont see down here and dont want down here those slimy hagfish, i think in total there were 10 hag fish caught out of the 50 odd fish caught.
species caught were whiting, dabs, plaice, blennies, coalies and codling, nothing of any great size longest fish was a 3 way tie with a whiting of 31cms. the north east won the team match by 15cms.
thanks to all on the site who passed info on as we used it to fish a strange venue to the best we could on the day.most successful bait was ragworm tipped with a tiny piece of mackeral.
