It all went quiet over there at low water, got chuckied ower then some kind of motorbike came up the pier but all in all quiet. End was choker like but where I was there were only a few macky hauled in.

Then the big break through:

About an hour later I thought I'd cracked it, heavy load like:

Never mind, out of the weed came this little fellow:

So not a bad day to be out, sunny, bit tail wind, quiet and a few fish.

Best of all, all the dabs were clean hooked and went back safely, bait used was rag.

Canny session mate. I've just got back in from fishing the 44 mark, dabs for me aswell. As you said most of them were clean hooked, only had to get the pen out once.
The pier was tidy when I got there but I was disgusted when I saw this

A flounder that someone had just left to die in the sun.
What's wrong with these people:mad:

What state of tide is best for fishing the 40's marks? nice pair of Dabs by the way.Well that poor Turbot is'nt going to grow into a bin lid as it should have I have no words to give to these cretins.

My personal preference is half way up or half way down mate though you'll get fish at any tide state
