Secret Beach 18/03/17

Had a run out with Mark on another bass hunt today. Plan was to fish the full tide up. When we got to the beach we found this small Cuckoo Ray washed up.

My first cast caught got me a small Codling, and Mark started catching small Flounders.

But a few hours went by with nothing else for me, and I was fishing two rods both with two hook flappers.

Around 2 hours before high tide I got a big knock on the Vercelli rod, and pulled in this Bass.

We thought the fish had finally come on, and we stayed to the top of the tide but nothing else showed. Another slow, wet day, but another Bass.

you certainly like your bass m8, well done again,
there's a big one out there with your name on it.
a few year ago a m8 of mine had a 12 pounder from cambois ramp.

those rays are washed up south end of druridge every year in march/april

They are washed up on a few of the Northumberland beaches from what I know mate.

Well done on the Bass, needs a bit more surf on than that for a good Bass run.
Its better fishing bigger tides in the dark with good single worm baits and a very good surf on for more action.

I remember a couple of years ago when there was a lots of reports from 'secret marks', then there was another post saying from his secret mark but there was a number 43 painted on the wall!
