seaham southy

fish2 010.jpg
i think this one looks more like a whitey, however i could be wrong as the tail goes into a V shape like a pollock where as a whitings is flat, would of sworn it was a white before reading all this but still unsure, good info though lads;). the scales were reading between 3, 12 and 4, 3 as it was that windy and was not bothered too much on an exact weight. say 3, 14 eh??
hope someone could tell for a definate on species, mr charlton??

the fish was fillited and body chucked in sea, might have washed up on the chems if anyone sees out:D

no need to eat your words mate, with a fish that colour easy to make a mistake, at first galnce I thought it was a whiting, and I have caught loads of whiting and pollock, some of the pollock where very pale.

Nice pollock that man! The give away on the whiting are the teeth, like little razor blades on a whiting and not on pollock! Oh and a very small barbule on the bottom lip i thinks
