Me an d my mate fished Seaham North pier from about 2 til around 6 on saturday, from the end. not a sniff, using lug blacks, muscle, clam razor even some cart but not even a bite. saw 2 small coleys come in on an old rig. So we decided to move to roker. My mate forgot the tip lights for the second time so had to keep our head torches on the tips to see. Pier was chokka, didn t realise it was the north and south comp. Anyway nowt again. had one bite and loads of slack line, wound down and caught up with it struck felt a canny weight on the head and head thumping, then nowt!!!!!!. reeled in and lost the lot no sinker no hook. Must of rubbed on a rock or a bad knot. Did hear of a 4 and half pound pollock getting caught a bit further up, but all in all terrible !!!!! Always next time......
