Seaham Pier 13th March 2016

Well Me and my mate Ged decided to have our last fishing session of the season from the shore., before we start on the course & boat fishing. We got on the Seaham pier for 11:30pm. We were just getting little knocks at first where the crabs were getting a free meal. So I had a 2 hook flapper on decided to put mussel on the bottom hook and Irish lug on the top. I threw out and within minutes the rod bent and arched over and thumping away, I picked it up and while I was picking it up it was still thumping away in my hand, so I reeled into the fish and caught a nice fresh 4lb cod. We kept on getting crab knocks for the rest of the night until last cast I put peeler on the bottom hook and caught a doggie. We packed in at 5:30am this morning. My mate did'nt catch anything but it was a lovely still and calm night. Bait used was Irish Lug, fresh rag, Mussel, Peeler, Roll on boat season. Chris
